Here's a breakdown of regular weekday events at Newman:
Catechesis on the Beatitudes with Fr. Cris Graas, Chaplain at Ernescliff College (starting October 4th) at 1 PM. Fr. Cris will have a look at what Christ surprisingly presents as conditions to be happy. Christian happiness thus offers a challenge, because it goes against man's natural expectations of a happy life. What does Jesus mean? And what consequences are there for our Christian life?
Soup and Bagel Lunch (starting September 9th) at 1 PM. Join us for the cheapest and most filling meal on campus. For $3 you get a bowl of delicious soup, a bagel, a warm beverage and company no money can buy!
Men's Faith Formation Group (starting September 23rd) at 4:15 PM. Are you a man who would like to grow more in your relationship with God with other men? Join the men's formation group where we will meet and talk about different aspects of living a virtuous life as a man of God.
Pray and Play (starting September 9th) at 7:30 PM. Join us for an hour of Eucharistic Adoration followed by boardgames, video games, baked goodness and good fun. Come for Pray or come for Play or come for Pray and Play!
Women's Faith Formation Group (starting September 24th) at 4:15 PM. Are you a woman who would like to grow more in your relationship with God with other women? Join the women's formation group where we will meet and talk about different aspects of living a virtuous life as a woman of God.
Catechesis on Marriage and Family (starting September 25th) at 1:00 PM. Would you like to learn more about what the Church's teaching on Family and Married Life? Professor Elmar Kremer of the Philosophy Department will lead a series of catechism meetings on Marriage and Family Life.
